Privacy policy

General notice

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection provisions (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we endeavour to protect the databases as best as possible against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or falsification.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data as described below. This website can generally be visited without registration. Data such as the pages accessed or the names of the files accessed, the date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly related to your person. Personal data, in particular your name, address or email address, is collected on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person whose personal data is being processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, disclosure, procurement, deletion, saving, modification, destruction and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Furthermore, insofar as the EU GDPR applies, we process personal data in accordance with the following legal bases in connection with Article 6(1) GDPR:

  • point a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
  • point b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures.
  • point c) Processing of personal data to fulfil a legal obligation to which we are subject under any applicable EU law or under any applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is wholly or partially applicable.
  • point d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
  • point f) Processing of personal data to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties, provided that the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject do not override these interests. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in providing our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the period necessary for the respective purpose or purposes. In the event of longer storage obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Use of cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that enable specific information relating to the user to be stored on the user's device while they are using the website. Cookies enable us to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, analyse behaviour patterns in relation to the use of the pages, and also make our offering more customer-friendly. Cookies remain stored after the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when the page is visited again. If you do not want this, you should set your internet browser to refuse cookies.

SSL encryption

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the lock symbol in your browser address line.

When SSL encryption is enabled, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Chargeable services

In order to provide chargeable services, we request additional data, such as payment details, so that we can execute your order or commission. We store this data in our systems until the statutory retention periods have expired.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google provides a browser plug-into deactivate Google Analytics.

Google Analytics uses cookies (see ‘Use of cookies’). These enable Google to analyse the use of our website. The information collected by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code ‘gat._anonymizeIp();’ to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If anonymisation is active, Google shortens IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which means that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the Privacy Shield Agreement and is registered with the Privacy Shield Programme of the US Department of Commerce and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our websites, to compile reports for us in this regard and to provide other related services to us. Find out more on the Google privacy page.

Note regarding data transfers to the USA (United States of America)

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out that users based in Switzerland are subject to surveillance measures by US authorities, which generally allow the storage of all personal data from Switzerland that has been transferred to the US.

This occurs without differentiation, restriction or exception based on the objectives pursued and without an objective criterion that would allow access to the data by the US authorities and its subsequent use to be limited to specific, strictly defined purposes that would justify the interference associated with access to and use of this data. We would also like to point out that, in the US, there are no legal remedies available to data subjects from Switzerland that would allow them to obtain access to data concerning them and to have it corrected or deleted, nor is there any effective judicial protection against the general access rights of US authorities. We explicitly draw the attention of the data subjects to this legal and factual situation so that they can make an informed decision about consenting to the use of their data.

We would like to point out to users residing in an EU Member State that, from the European Union's perspective, the United States does not have an adequate level of data protection.
